Comment byLauren, use the Commutative, associative, or identity properties for each. For example, problem 32 the 0.3 is missing. Notice the grouping has changed. The associative property changes the grouping… prob 35 the 3.1 is missing. The order of the addends has changed. This shows the use of the commutative property.

Comment byI just checked the notes and they seem to be working fine. Just give them time to load if you have a slow connection. Do the problems just as they are done in the notes.

Comment byJust take each of the 20 words. Read the sentences that are given for each word. Then, write your own sentences for each word
Comment byYou do not have to do the online test. You may use it to enter and check your answers. You should show work in your notebooks for the problems that need work.

Comment byuse the table beneath problem 17 and fill in 1,2,and 3 for h. For example 5+ 2(1)is 7 and 5+2(2) is 9. This means that for 1 hour the cost is $7 and for 2 hours the cost is $9.
Jes, for problem one just draw 3 rectangles for 3X and 5 small squares for +5
Comment byCassie, simply substitute 8 for x in each problem then perform the order of operations to simplify it. For example problem 11 would be 2(8)-3 which becomes 16-3 which is 13.

Comment byScott, make factor trees to find the prime factorization. Then use the prime factorization to find the LCM
Comment byWe learned two ways to find the LCM…you can use either: prime factorize then multiply the factors (check the notes for which factors to multiply) or you can list the multiples and find the least common multiple.

Comment byall you do is find the least common denominator once you do that what ever you times the number by on the bottom you must do to the top like if the fraction was 2 over 30 and the other one was 3 over 10. so you would think what times a number will get me 30 and 10 the answer would be 30 …so for the first one it would be 2×15=30 so the 15 would be your numorator and then you do the same thing for the other one. you do 10×3=30. 3 would be you new numorator. i hoped this helped this is the way i did it but you can ask miss.d just in case i would do that first

Comment byHey, sorry I answered so late, you want to find the common denomonator by finding the LCM of the two numbers. Remember, when in doubt multiply the two denomonators together. What ever you do to the bottom you must do to the top. After you have common denomonators you can compare or order the fractions. If you have a mixed number you must turn it into an improper fraction first then procede as above. If you have anymore questions you can ask in class or check the website for the notes.

Comment byI have your quiz grade for math. It is at school. I was unable to put it into the computer after school today so I can give it to you tomorrow. The personal narratives have no all been graded so the grades are not up there yet. I am working on them and will put them up as soon as possible.
